My hubby is trying to help our daughter. She is trying so desperately to go to college to become a teacher and work. She is doing this on her own but has gotten very depressed as her vehicle has died on her and the college, her internship, her job and her place of residence are way too far apart for her to make it by city transit. It is making her feel like she may have to quit on her dream to be a teacher.
So hubby set up this fund to see if people would be willing to help her out in trying to get a vehicle.
If you can donate great - if you can share this with others that would be great too. I know she would appreciate the help since she does not know he started this for her.
Please click here to see the page set up for her.

For 2013
I have been challenged to admit what UFO/WIP I have and also determined to finish my WIP/UFOs.
I want to be able to finish a bunch of them.
Some I am very ashamed as they maybe had 20 stitches on.
I would love to get 5 done this year at least.
Should I get 2 done I am permitting one new start.

Feel free to join me in this challenge.
To see my first step accomplished - admitting to UFO/WIP starts see my WIP/UFOs page.
Yea!!!! That is a hard step.
The next hard step is finding stitching time and getting something done.
Stay tuned.

Sending condolences.... (updated)
It is with great sadness that we say a farewell to a Cross Stitch Designer Icon Marilyn Levitt-Imblum (Lavender & Lace, Butternut Road and Told in a Garden Designer). Many have loved and stitched her beautiful designs.
May her family find comfort, peace and also be able to come to terms with her life and her passing.
Nora,
We love you and are here if you need an ear! Please know that if there is anything we can do for you just holler!
Dawn in AZ
If there is anyone that would like to send her family a message or card send to:
Marilyn's family
C/O Told in a Garden

The photo is a picture of Marilyn's "In the arms of an Angel" .
This piece brought me peace as I was stitching it in the hospital as my father passed in 2004.
May her family find comfort, peace and also be able to come to terms with her life and her passing.

Ok.... I have been having quite a few orders for my charms and I am so thrilled.
I opened myself a poll on fb for my friends to help me name the charms.
Looking forward to seeing the results... If you are a friend of mine on fb please vote.
I was also contacted about having my charms included in a charity function in November which is exciting.

I am also excited about some other possible happenings which for now I will just ask for a private prayer that this will work out.
This is my bible cover finish #4 for the year.
This is Hello Kitty for a HUGE Hello Kitty Fan!
She is only 4 years old and has every Hello Kitty you can imagine... except this one. Finish #5 for the year.
I am going to attach it to one of the boxes below with her name stitched on the box.
Wish I could see her face when she gets it... maybe her dad will take a pic for me.
I work at Macy's and they were throwing these gift boxes away. I got permission to bring them home so I could use them for finishing my stitching off... Isn't that cool!

A New Look
I decided to change my blog layout in celebration for my upcoming wedding anniversary.
On Tuesday- February 7th 2012, My husband and I will be celebrating 9 years of marriage.
It seems much longer than that due to knowing him for 24 years, being with him for 12 and being married for 9 years.
My hubby has decided that since two of our oldest have moved out of our home that he would create for me a craft room. It is almost finished then I will be able to move all the craft supplies into that room.
I cannot wait to show you all how wonderful this new space of mine is looking!
Also please keep my grandson in your prayers. May God's will be done in all that is going on right now!

RIP William Franklin Ullrich
My oldest daughter came home to find that her beloved gopher tortoise William had passed away.
It was a very gruesome sight and I am so sorry she found him.
She was given him in 2009 for Christmas by her boyfriend.
They both said goodbye to him as we buried him.
Please say a prayer for the two of them to find comfort during this time.

Sharing my birthday with you.
It first started off last night when I chopped my hair and bought the bottle to color it.
I am not sure how much I like the cut but you cannot change what has been done. LOL
My daughter decided that she would do the coloring part of my new look.
Then I get up and there is a message on freecycle about a florist shop that is giving away free a dozen roses to whomever shows up. The catch is you have to give a rose to 11 people and keep one for yourself in remembrance of 9-11.
So in the memory of those lost and in doing my own birthday wish I went and picked up my dozen roses.
I got at least 2 hugs from strangers and got so many Happy Birthdays today. It felt good.
I also had a birthday celebration today with my family. I got a stuffed Eeyore, Eeyore pajamas, angel earrings, angel windchime, and white moccasins bootie shoes.
The only bad part of my day was when I was on my way to get my dozen roses I seen a car accident.
I had to pull over for a while as I cried hysterically and prayed that God would wrap His loving arms around the lady that was in the accident.

Praising God!
I am PRAISING GOD for His wonderful loving arms!
I had a close call tonight..... I was driving home alone and was almost in a head on collision.
This had more of an effect on me than it would have on most people.
The reason I say that is because when I was 7, I was in a head on collision.
There was only 15 inches between the windshield and the front bumper left.
I watched in horror as the two vehicles collided.
So there for when it was time for me to learn to drive as a teen.... I could not.
I dealt with mental issues and flashbacks for years.
It was not until last February that I got my license at the age of 38.
So tonight when this near miss happened with God by my side.
I was calm and seemed to be totally at peace until it was over.
I kept repeating over and over, Thank you God, Thank you God!
I immediately had to pull over and was then hysterical.
After calling my mother to help me calm down I drove slowly home.
Still continuing to say over and over, Thank you God, Thank you God!
When I got home my whole body was shaky and had to get a huge hug from my husband.
I still am not totally calm and it has been over an hour and a half.
Please keep me in your prayers that.... when tomorrow comes I can get back behind the wheel and know it will all be ok.

Ashley despirately needs our prayers
Pray for comfort, her body hurts so very much.
Pray for healing, if her bowel does not heal she will not live long.
Pray for access, she is out of strong veins in which she can be supported and receive treatments. Without access we will lose her.
Pray for her spirit to not be lost but to return with all its joy and twinkle. I miss her smile and laughter so much.
Pray for her in anyway you can think of. Just allow God to move in your hearts on Ashley Kate's behalf even when there are no words to say.
Prayers for mom and dad to have continued faith, strength and hope that God is in control and all will be ok.
To read her story go to her blog.

Seriously need someone's help.....
The past week has been very difficult for me... and as it is getting closer to the weekend it is proceeding to get worse.
The beginning of the week started with my oldest daughter requesting to go live with her dad. I reluctantly agreed only for the summer. (this tore me up)
Then yesterday, more stepson issues to the point I was really having problems.
Now comes the kicker.
We had gotten approval for a loan modification after fighting for a year and a half... although, it is still a little high, since i still have not been able to find work. Being under the understanding that there would be a month before the new amount went into affect. (we were under the understanding that we had the option of paying June's mortgage or having a free month so to speak)
So I had arranged everything to where we would use the free month to pay off debt to better our credit. Only to find out that we do not get a free month to pay off bills. So the normal monthly bills I put off to line the mortgage payment to the correct paycheck. Only to now realize that those normal monthly bills are going be very late or some utilities shut off.
SO here is where I say I need someone's help..... I have the following for sale and need your help to either purchase the items or pass this on to others....
FOR SALE>>>>>>
Cross Stitch Magazines *** See my Sale/Trade blog***
All these knitted baby hats are 5.00 each plus shipping. (will combine shipping)
These fleece blankets ... no-sew fleece blankets are 30.00 plus shipping and the Hello Kitty Fleece blanket is 20 plus shipping. I have 3 Hello Kitty available. I also have other designs of fleece that are not made up yet.... they include Winnie the pooh and friends, tinker bell and Spiderman to name a few.
I also have this spiral beaded 20" necklace with white and clear seed beads. I do have other colors to make up if need be. This I am asking 20.00 plus shipping.
Please email me with any questions or orders..... I appreciate you all and any help would be appreciated.

Update on sister.
I know this is not a lot of information but this is what I know of so far about the house she is getting....
She says "I am still awaiting the final written contract on the house. We have a verbal acceptance, for whatever that means. Signed another contract they wanted us to sign, but have not received back any signatures."
I am still praying this goes through for her.

Asking for Prayers and update
For those that have been reading my blog.
You know that my sister has been trying to get a house. (CLICK for previous post)
Well she had put in an offer on a house she really wanted and was outbid.
I have just learned that that very house.... the people that outbid her their offer has fallen through and she has re-put in her bid for that house today.
Please pray that God will help her get this house... after all this house seemed to pop out of the woodwork in the first place. Now she gets another chance to hopefully get it!

Well I have decided.... ***UPDATED on #2***
I have decided to update you on a few things.
1. My sister did not get the one house she had wanted but I got word on Friday that she made an offer on a home that had just been put on the market that day. She wants this house more than anything at the moment and I hope and pray she gets it.
2. I am in the pin pillow exchange that BeckySC is putting on and I am a little disappointed at the moment since I mailed it out over 2 weeks ago to the recipient. (bad me... should have put a delivery confirmation on it) I have had no word on whether or not it has been received or not. I hope and pray that it is received soon or that whomever did get it really needed the pick me up.
I have decided to go ahead and post a picture of it.
******* Update.******* The recipient of this beautiful biscornu has let me know that it was received and dearly loved.... YES! YES! YES!

3. I am so thankful that Spring Break is over..... I will be able to relax more even though I am still looking for a job. The kids have been stressing me out bad..... How is it that our kids can find the most annoying friends to have come over and hang out with?
4. Thanks to the help from TracyJ, I was able to find a mistake in a UFO stitching piece that I am dying to finish for my mother. "The Old Rugged Cross by VeraK" . I have also put some stitches into long time WIP "Jesus Wept" just not enough to take a picture.
5. I did get an award from Karen and Cynimin and will get that post here this week. "THANK YOU LADIES!"
Well this is my update on things right now.... Hope to update you with pics of the above two pieces soon.

NEWS and Wedding piece framed ....
Well, I know you all know about the economy and how bad it has been.
I do not know how many of you know that Arizona is really being hit hard both the housing and the government.
In fact it is so bad that they have been doing budget cuts.....
Little did all of us know that Education would be hit very hard.
This week lot of the people that work at the Elementary school with me are finding out that they are being laid off or being released from their contracts.
Unfortunately, for my family I am one of the unlucky ones.
They have informed me that when this school year is over that I will no longer have a job come next school year.
For me this is a mixed feeling but I am looking at it as God is working in my life.....
Hmmmm, please help me know what Your plans are Lord and also I pray that You have another job in store for me......
Ok on an up note..... I got my wedding piece for my co worker framed and gave it to her at her bridal shower..... She said she loved it and tons of the ladies OHHHH'd and AHHHH'd it. That made me happy.
