Part one of 3
Part two of 3
Part three of 3

May this bless you as much as it did me listening to him speak!

Well the frogs have moved in....

These little cuties were stitched for my sister.
They were finish number 13 for 2009.
I will have to figure out how to finish them but the stitching part is done.
Yes, they had fun with me while I was trying to get them finished.....
They are so cute they make me giggle.

A big surprise arrived

The mailman brought me a surprise today from a great lady named Margaret.
She had emailed me and said she had some floss that I could have.
I told her great I would be glad to receive it if she was not using it.

This Margaret is such a sweet lady that is going through an awful lot.
(health-wise as well as other issues in her life.)
She could sure use your prayers.

Anyway, back to my story.... she told me the other day that she mailed out my 2 boxes.
My mind went nuts.... just how much floss is she sending me.... believe me my mind went nuts.... visions of a kitchen sink to a bathtub full went through my head. lol

Well today I received the packages..... I know I know hurry up and show you what I got... LOL

Thank you Lord for our messy home

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this sink of dirty dishes; that we have plenty of food to eat.

Thank you for this pile of dirty, stinky laundry; we have plenty of nice clothes to wear.

And I would like to thank you, Lord, for those unmade beds; they were so warm and comfortable last night. I know that many have no bed.

My thanks to you, Lord, for this bathroom, complete with all the splattered mess, soggy, grimy towels and the dirty lavatory; they are all so convenient.

Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly; it has served us faithfully for many years. It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals.

Thank you, Lord, for this oven that absolutely must be cleaned today; it has baked so many things over the years.

The whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs moving and lawn that needs raking; we all enjoy the yard.

Thank you, Lord, even for that slamming screen door. my kids are healthy and able to run and play. Many children cannot.

Lord, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says You have richly blessed my family. I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when the alarm rings. Thank you, Lore, that I can hear. There are so many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long as possible. Thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising. Thank you, Lord, that I have the strength to rise. There are so many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic with socks that are lost, toast that is burned, tempers that are short, and my children that are so loud. Thank you, Lord, for my family. There are so many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in magazines and the menu is at times not balanced. Thank you, Lord, for the food we have. There are many who are hungry.

Even though the routine of my job is often monotonous. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to work. There are so many who are jobless.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my circumstances were no so modest. Thank you, Lord, for life.

This was a great reminder for me to be sent in email at this time.....
Things might not be perfect with my life and I might feel like there is a lot missing..... You know... there is still a lot to be thankful for!!!
I will just pray and let God help me go through each day one second at a time!!!

OK ... What happened to the cat???

Well I have been trying to figure out our cat....
I knew this cat was confused.

He loves his belly rubbed and prefers to sleep on his back like a playboy.
I knew he did not mind water but this is crazy!!!!!!!!

Seems my youngest son was taking a bath.
When finished my son came in saying he needed help taking care of a cat scratch due to the cat joining him in the tub full of water.

I thought ok he is crazy the cat would not jump in a tub of water....

UMMMMM a picture says a thousand words.....

WOOOHOOO

I am really anxious now for the last steps of this hardanger lesson.... Although, I am real nervous to do the cutting part....

I guess I will need to work on the practice heart until it is time to do the last part of the lesson.

What do you think???????????

I wanna take this moment to say I have not forgotten....

I want to let everyone know that I have not forgotten about a very special young man Steven....
Nor have I forgot all the wonderful people that help me put this blanket and pillow together.
Thank you Nurse Jessie, Mary, Martha, Wilma, Debbie A, Sue Y and a very special quilter(sorry I do not remember your name) The pillow had the same material used in the center of the quilt as well as the back.
I have a special angel talking to my heart that is urging me or giving me the feeling that I really need to post this.

Please be kind to me as this was the first quilt I have ever done and the meaning behind the pillow and blanket were to show Steven (a very special man) that people were praying for him. Unfortunately, he never got to see it in person, feel the stitching or even get comfort from it.
His mother (my co-worker) got a lot of comfort from it.
She hung it in her room and kept them where she could always see them.

I made this necklace today.

I made this necklace today and I think I did a good job.

Maybe I should consider making these and selling them.

Next one is going to be red, white and blue......

***UPDATE**** A reader has pointed out that they cannot tell what bead I used to make this.
This is made by using seed beads and it is 20" in length. This is for sale.... $20.00 plus shipping.

The center of the star like things actually has a hole there.
Silly me was not thinking when I took the picture.... it is sitting on something navy so you cannot see the holes. :(
