Another Award From A Friend

I was blessed to be given an award by Donna.
Thank you very much!

I am one of those ones that find it hard to sometimes see in myself what others see in me. Whether it be through personal interaction or what they may think through talking or the impression they get from reading or just looking at the pictures in my blog. It will always amaze me when one of my talented friends and bloggers thinks my blog deserves an award. Sometimes even when they feel the need reach out to me for a ear it amazes me.
So here it goes.

I have to name 5 people I think are deserving of this award.

Skye because she is so creative, sweet and always ready to remind me what others see in me!

Marge because you always encourage me to keep going!

Riet because she has always encouraged my stitching through comments and RAK!

Kris because you have shown us that you have the biggest heart that is over flowing enough to not only expand your family at home but also give those of us online all the support and love we need at just the right time! (She has 3 wonderful blogs about her ever so special family)

Mary because you are such a very strong lady and going through so very much.... Yet you persevere and keep going on! Keep the faith and keep on hoping....

Now you need to post this on your blog and award 5 people you think are deserving!

Jesus Wept Update

Well I was hoping to do more stitching on this last night.
Unfortunately, that never went anywhere.
So I am posting an update because my 3 day weekend had been productive.

I worked on this piece as well as picked up 2 different UFO's and put some stitches in those.

Not going to post a picture of them though as one .
The first one I was working from 20 years ago, has huge stains in it that I hope to get out ... not sure when they got in there but still hope it comes out. The other one is a piece for someone special that really needs to get done and find it's way home.

3. color green
4. Angels
5. Eeyore

Here are the 5 people I have nominated for the Fabby award:

Jesus Wept Update

Well I have really been neglecting this piece due to all the stress that I have been going through for a month.

I went back to look at the dates and I had not stitched on this piece for about a month and 6 days. I have been going through major non stitching withdraws for 10 days.

I am happy to report that my stress level went down enough to concentrate and relax so that I could stitch.

It does not look like much but I put in at least another 400 stitches in this one.

Here is your long awaited updated picture.

I was tagged

Quick and Easy Phototag:
I was tagged by Mary and I had to go to my 4th folder in my pictures file and pick the 4th picture. (unfortunately, I do not have any folders in my picture file so I just picked the 4th picture)

Here is my picture:

Thanksgiving day my oldest daughter was having fun in the backyard with her camera, her 2 brothers, sister and cousins. This is a picture that she took of herself.

She has a strong faith in God and is continually learning more and more. I call this picture "Looking To God For Strength and Wisdom." As she is going through alot of issues right now and seems to be doing just that.

The rules of this tag are quick & easy:

1. Go to the the 4th folder where you keep your pictures on your computer.

2. Post the 4th picture in the folder.

3. Explain the photo.

4. Tag 4 fellow bloggers to join in the fun!

So I am going to tag:

Kathy Sonda Karen Kelly

I hope they will want to participate but it's ok if they don't want to do it.

Anyone like to join my PIF?

I was one of the lucky ones to be picked for Karen's PIF.
Here are the rules:
The rules are as follows:
"If you would like to receive stitchy gift made by me within 365 days please leave comment on this post to say that you are interested, I will draw two names on Friday, January 30 (Presuming I get more than 2 people interested that is) will be my PIF members".
In return you post the same offer on your own blog.
And the chain goes on... :) So easy and so fun

This will be my first ever PIF and I am so hoping for it to be a good one.

On a roll now....

Well I was really disappointed that I was not able to put any stitches in on Friday.

I was able to find a little time to put in a few stitches yesterday and today.
In fact, I am now happy to report I have finished another quick finish....
I have stitched myself the "Hope" piece that I had won from Stitchpink...
The only difference between this one and the kit that I was sent is....
This one is stitched over 1.... Yep that is what I said.... it was stitched over 1.

Now I place a goal on myself to get my butt in gear and make the first one into the pinkeep (will be a first for me) and the newest one I think will make a good key fob. (what do you think?)

Anyway, here is the "HOPE" piece over 1.

Yahoo!!! Starting the New Year on a roll....

I am starting the New Year on a roll.....

I was stitching when the clock struck midnight and kept going for about 10 minutes more then called it a night. (I do not care for his colors but I it was too late at night for my head to come up with better colors for him)

I was hoping to finish this before midnight but felt that I had at least been stitching so that must mean that is what I will be doing this year... Hopefully, not leaving things unfinished this year.

Well as of 3 minutes ago, I finished the small piece I was stitching when the New Year rang in....

So without further ado, here is my first finish for 2009!
