Cat funny and Hardanger disaster!

My hubby was being silly this morning playing with the cat.

He put one of the kids face masks on the cat.

It looks like he could be saying..... "Now no one will recognize me!"

Now on to a very disappointing morning for me.....

My hardanger disaster.... not sure what happened but threads just started to unravel.

I tried fixing it but to me it looks horrible.

I have been asked if I will restart and try again....

Right now the answer is no.... I am totally heartbroken!

What a bummer. Sorry the threads started unraveling. Hopefully you can do something with it.

I've never done a hardanger either but possibly a little dab of fabric glue to hold it? It sure is beautiful though

I'm sorry about the linen heartbreak. I've never done that type of hardanger, always looked way too scary for me. Good luck if you try it again!

Sorry that your threads started to unravel. I feel so sad for you. It is a beautiful piece. I think Cyndi has a good idea. I think there is fabric glue out there that you can use.

This is so sad. I know you have worked so hard on it. I wonder what happened? Maybe you should give everything a break to recover from it and then start something. What do you think?

OMG...i cannot imagine a hardanger piece like that...I have done hardanger, but don't have any experience to ment that thread...
hope someone can help you...

I'm so sorry this happened, Dawn. I'm pretty sure you can reweave threads to replace those that have been cur accidently. If you can get a hold of janice Love's first book, it explains it in detail. I can't think of the name of the book off hand. Don'r give up on this. it's too pretty to leave alone.

So sorry that this happened to you after all the work of stitching it. Maybe you can find someone who is an expert of hardanger stitching and would be able to help.

I'm sorry that this has happened to you Dawn...I was wondering if it is regular Hardanger Material? If it is than your threads should not be raveling out.

Really sorry for you
know how you feel mine is nearly done but cut a wrong thread or something wish I had just done the sticking and not tried to cut out the threads
now mine is in the too hard basket

It looks like you cut too many or the wrong threads...that can be fixed with re-weaving. I have some good directions I can send to you...email me you snail mail....I am almost positive it can be fixed. So far, I have been very lucky not to have had that happen to me...but I have practiced how to fix it just in case!
