I call myself gutsy for the following reason.....
I was dying to try some more hardanger.... so I went through my magazines to see if I could find any more hardanger patterns.
This one contains stitches I had never done before ... like woven bars and doves eyes.
Then I looked at the threads I had but noticed nothing talked to me.... so I remembered I had some crochet thread....
Yep, you guessed it.... I did hardanger with crochet thread.... I cannot help it... I wanted to see if it was possible.
Well what do you think????

Beautiful! Can't tell what kind of thread in the picture.

oh! wow! very nice finish, you talented girl you!
very nice it might be time for me to try hardanger
It looks great, Dawn! You know, you can use any thread that you want for hardanger as long as it is the right thickness. I have even used stranded floss, just need to adjust the number of strands you use. Works great!
Keep up the great work! Victoria Sampler has a lot of hardanger freebies you might want to try.

Looks great Dawn!
Very nice work! I dont' think it matters what 'type' thread you use as long as it makes you happy! The size is more important, and they usually call for a larger wt than usual (for me) in cross stitch. Pretty, pretty!
Very Nice. I love hardanger, but still hold my breath when it comes time to cut. Love the way the tread looks.
Looks nice!
Very pretty
