I so needed this

Things are going haywire.... hope they seem to get better soon.
I hope this speaks to those that may also need to read this.....
Me: God, can I ask You a question?
God: Sure
Me: Promise You won't get mad...
God: I promise
Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?
... ... ... ... ... God: What do u mean?
Me: Well, I woke up late
God: Yes
Me: My car took forever to start
God: Okay
Me: At lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait
God: Hmmm
Me: On the way home my phone went DEAD just as I picked up a call
God: All right
Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home I just wanted to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax, BUT it wouldn't work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?
God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that
Me (humbled): OH
God: I didn't let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.
Me: (ashamed)
God: The first person who made your sandwich today was sick & I didn't want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn't afford to miss work.
Me (embarrassed):Okay
God: Your phone went dead because the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn't even let you talk to them so you would be covered.
Me (softly): I see, God
God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn't think you wanted to be in the dark.
Me: I'm Sorry God
God: Don't be sorry, just learn to Trust Me...in All things, the Good & the bad.
Me: I will trust You.
God: And don't doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.
Me: I won't God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.
God: You're welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children...

A New Look

I decided to change my blog layout in celebration for my upcoming wedding anniversary.

On Tuesday- February 7th 2012, My husband and I will be celebrating 9 years of marriage.
It seems much longer than that due to knowing him for 24 years, being with him for 12 and being married for 9 years.

My hubby has decided that since two of our oldest have moved out of our home that he would create for me a craft room. It is almost finished then I will be able to move all the craft supplies into that room.

I cannot wait to show you all how wonderful this new space of mine is looking!

Also please keep my grandson in your prayers. May God's will be done in all that is going on right now!

My First Finish for 2012!

This is Nora Corbet's/Mirabilia's Violet pixie.

She was a very fun and easy stitch...

I am gonna have to do another one just for me as this one will be going to a special recipient when a frame is made for it.

This has taken me at least a month to a month and a half as I do not remember the date I started. This was finished today though.

I stitched this on 36 count linen (lt examplar).

THE BUZZARD, THE BAT AND THE BUMBLEBEE

ENDS UP WITH EXCELLENT ADVICE

THE BUZZARD
If you put a buzzard in a pen/coop that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for life in a small jail with no top.

THE BAT
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like a flash.

THE BUMBLEBEE
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top, but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the bottom. It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys itself.

PEOPLE
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee. We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing that all we have to do is look up! That's the answer, the escape route and the solution to any problem... just look up!

Sorrow looks back,
WORRY LOOKS AROUND,
But faith looks up!
Live simply,
love generously,
care deeply,
speak kindly, and
trust in our Creator,
who loves us.

Share this with a friend... I just did.

Wet Pants

Come with me to a third grade classroom.....
There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden,
there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet.
He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly
imagine how this has happened.

It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find
out he will never hear the end of it.
When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.
The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, 'Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat.'

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with
a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.
As the teacher is walking toward him, a class mate
named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is
filled with water. Susie trips in front of the
teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water
in the boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is
saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!'
Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule,
the boy is the object of sympathy.

The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts
to put on while his pants dry out.

All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning
up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful.
But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been
his has been transferred to someone else - Susie.
She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done
enough, you klutz!'

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the
bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers,
'You did that on purpose, didn't you?' Susie
whispers back, 'I wet my pants once too.'
May God help us see the opportunities that are always around
us to do good..

Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more
than standing in your garage makes you a car.
Each and everyone one of us is going through tough times
right now, but God is getting ready to bless you
in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.
This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards.
Let's continue to pray for one another.

The Prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those
that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now.
Show them a new revelation of Your love and power.
Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy..
Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace.
Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs.
Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings.
Amen.
