I am on a roll!!!!
I am on a roll. This is a start from last year that needed to be finished. This is finish #4 for 2013
I am in a stitching mood like you would not believe and I am determined to finish a bunch of these projects so that I can feel good about them being finished.
This is one that I was making for my husband for our anniversary. Better late than never. LOL

For 2013
I have been challenged to admit what UFO/WIP I have and also determined to finish my WIP/UFOs.
I want to be able to finish a bunch of them.
Some I am very ashamed as they maybe had 20 stitches on.
I would love to get 5 done this year at least.
Should I get 2 done I am permitting one new start.

Feel free to join me in this challenge.
To see my first step accomplished - admitting to UFO/WIP starts see my WIP/UFOs page.
Yea!!!! That is a hard step.
The next hard step is finding stitching time and getting something done.
Stay tuned.

A new finish
I have finished the other towel that I wanted to make. This means I now have a matching pair. Yippee!
This makes finish #7 for 2011.
I am using the photo from the other post only because my daughter has taken my camera to camp. So I will be without a camera for 7 weeks. :(
I will see if my mom or sister will allow me to use their cameras for taking pics.... until then I will continue to stitch and will hopefully be able to update posts with pics at a later date.
I have done a little stitching on my RMC piece(UFO) and Jesus Wept(WIP). (not really enough for a pic yet but hopefully I can do some more on them so that a pic will be warranted when a camera is available.)
I am off work this week so I hope to do lots of stitching but I know I will have to share that time with cleaning house. I have only one of four children home right now. One was given the boot to go live with family, one is gone for 7 weeks at camp and one is gone for a week to camp. So we will see how things go!

An update and an award
Well I think I have made some good progress getting myself past my disappointment in the frog's visit. I got myself motivated and got back to work on Mr. Bone Jangles.
Here is my progress pic of him.
I need to get moving and start a small for hubby for our anniversary.... I got exactly a month to stitch it and get it done.... it is a Sanman Original piece.
I was also given another award....
I was nominated by Lana for the stylish blogger award! Wow! Thank you so much, Lana!!
So, now I have to pick 5 things that people don't know about me and then nominate 5 more people.
1. My oldest daughter was named after another little girl I knew. (huge, long story)
2. Do not like being told I cannot do something... I will prove you wrong.
3. I take more S..... from others then I should. lol
4. I collect porcelain dolls.
5. I love yellow roses.
And now I have to nominate 5 people...
1. Linda K. (You always encourage me to keep on stitching.)
2. Bette (Your support is never ending)
3. Tammy (Your designs are adorable..... I need to get to work and stitch some... hmmm maybe an idea for my smalls. LOL)
4. CJ (I enjoy looking at your beautiful stitching)
5. Annie (I absolutely am in love with some of the beautiful pieces you come up with..... always looking forward to seeing more and more.)
If I nominated you and you have already done this, don't worry about doing it again! But I do enjoy your blogs, I enjoy MANY blogs, but just wanted to throw a shout out to these ladies!

My pieces for 2011
I would like to show you where my pieces stand at this moment that I will be working on this year to start out with.
I chose to work on 5 UFO's and 2 New starts for my New Year's Goal.
When a UFO is finished it will be replaced with a new UFO.
When a New start is finished it will be replaced with another new start.
Oh so you know.... my new starts will be smalls.
I figure by doing this plan I will be able to finish what has been hanging around unfinished, get the joy of new starts and also the joy of finishes.
Anyway, my UFO's that I will be working on are....
1. Jesus Wept.... ** See pic above to see current pic**
OOPS.... this is a WIP that will be taking one UFO's place....
2. Rocky Mountain Christmas by Marty Bell.... will be doing a SAL for this one... hope it helps.
3. Girl with cosmos
4. Mr Bone Jangles by Glendon Place (upset as this is the piece I was stitching in the new year on and found out yesterday that 1/3 of his chest was stitched wrong due to the working copy of this pattern being put together wrong.)
5. French Mime (This one is the piece I taught myself to do Counted Cross Stitch... yeah I know... I did not do the easy thing and start with something small....)
I am still trying to decide what smalls I will work on.
Oh wait.... I decided to make the OakHaven SAL be my smalls since there will be 12 smalls all put together into one piece.
SO until I pick out the other small please cheer me on with these 5 UFO's and the small SAL.
Thank you!

I finished a UFO **dedicated to RENE**
I decided to pick up one of my UFO's and I finished the cross stitch part on it.
I am counting this as a finish even though I need to still make it into a needlebook.
This is my 15th finish for the year and #3 UFO finished this year.

I am also dedicating this finish to Rene (ILCS) from Las Vegas. I miss you Rene and hope God will allow you to stay with us a little longer. Although, I do not want you hurting anymore.
Prayers for you every day.
Love ya my stitching sister!
Thank you for showing me a new love for hardanger.
I do not think I would have tried had you not offered the lessons.
I will think of you every time I do hardanger.

Popcorn
Well I have finished another UFO. This makes number 8 for 2010!
He is Popcorn the bear... he was one of those freebies that come with the stitching magazines you buy.
I have realized that most of my UFO's are pieces that I made a mistake and could not figure out where.... and since I hate mistakes I put the piece down and find something else to work on.
Well this one I could still not find the mistake but I decided to keep going and finish it anyway.
Yes, I am slowly getting better when it comes to leaving mistakes that do not seem to show.
I just need to figure out what I will finish this one into.

Well I have decided.... ***UPDATED on #2***
I have decided to update you on a few things.
1. My sister did not get the one house she had wanted but I got word on Friday that she made an offer on a home that had just been put on the market that day. She wants this house more than anything at the moment and I hope and pray she gets it.
2. I am in the pin pillow exchange that BeckySC is putting on and I am a little disappointed at the moment since I mailed it out over 2 weeks ago to the recipient. (bad me... should have put a delivery confirmation on it) I have had no word on whether or not it has been received or not. I hope and pray that it is received soon or that whomever did get it really needed the pick me up.
I have decided to go ahead and post a picture of it.
******* Update.******* The recipient of this beautiful biscornu has let me know that it was received and dearly loved.... YES! YES! YES!

3. I am so thankful that Spring Break is over..... I will be able to relax more even though I am still looking for a job. The kids have been stressing me out bad..... How is it that our kids can find the most annoying friends to have come over and hang out with?
4. Thanks to the help from TracyJ, I was able to find a mistake in a UFO stitching piece that I am dying to finish for my mother. "The Old Rugged Cross by VeraK" . I have also put some stitches into long time WIP "Jesus Wept" just not enough to take a picture.
5. I did get an award from Karen and Cynimin and will get that post here this week. "THANK YOU LADIES!"
Well this is my update on things right now.... Hope to update you with pics of the above two pieces soon.

Happy New Year!!! My First Finish!
Hello everyone!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!!
Well I started the year off right with my first finish of the year!!! ( I finished a UFO )
This one I believe is from around 1992.
Anyway, I had put it down due to running out of floss.
Being that I was new to counted cross stitch and did not know as much as I do now.
Nor did I have the stash to figure out what color I should use.... it laid waiting to be finished.
So now my horsey lover of a daughter has a beautiful carousel horse....
I just wish I could have gotten all the stains out but I did get most of it out.
One down and 19 more finishes to go to reach my goal. Also, One UFO down and hopefully more to go!

My Goals for the NEW YEAR!!!!
Ok everyone. I went through my stash and created an inventory list of items I have.
I also created a inventory of UFO’s that linger over my head….
Not happy about having so many but hey…
I must be a serial starter as there are just too many wonderful patterns out there.
In 2009, I had I believe 17 finishes – 2 of which were not mine to start with. I also finished at least 5 small UFO’s.
SO….. I am hoping to be able to get more done this new year.
I am making 3 goals for this NEW YEAR(2010).
The first goal, having 20 finishes and hoping that at least 5 -10 will be from this list. (NO I am not expecting to finish the whole list of UFO's.... only 5-10) I listed them all because I am not sure which ones I will be doing.
The second goal, I would like to make enough CHRISTmas ornaments to buy a living tree and hang only stitched ornaments from. (I do not care if it is a small one or a big one… I just would like one special year to have a stitched ornament tree)
The third goal, is to have an online store(web page) selling my blankets, baby hats, beaded jewlery and etc. up and running. I would also love for it to be productive and make money.
This will be an extra special year for me as my hubby and I will be celebrating our 7th year of marriage.
(7 being my lucky number makes it all more special to me.
SO, let’s make our New Years goals and cheer each other on!!!

I have a new finish
Well today I finally decided I was going to do some stitching.
I decided I would go through some of my stash...
yes, this included UFO's and see what talked to me.
So wouldn't you know it .... it was a UFO.
This one is a special piece that was created by Sandy Riggs from Angelpillowproject.
I changed it just a little but I am happy to say I got another one of my UFO's finished.
Here it is... my 4th finish of the year!!!!

Jesus Wept Update
Well I was hoping to do more stitching on this last night. Unfortunately, that never went anywhere.
So I am posting an update because my 3 day weekend had been productive.
I worked on this piece as well as picked up 2 different UFO's and put some stitches in those.
Not going to post a picture of them though as one .
The first one I was working from 20 years ago, has huge stains in it that I hope to get out ... not sure when they got in there but still hope it comes out. The other one is a piece for someone special that really needs to get done and find it's way home.

Hi everyone
It has been about a week since my last post.
I have been dealing with alot of stress and I think that is attributing to the headaches and nausea I have been feeling this week.
Well last night I was dying to stitch but was not feeling totally better so I did not work on Jesus wept.
Instead, I went to my room and looked at my stash and my UFO's man there are alot of them.
I then picked up one UFO did about 5-10 stitches.
Put it down and picked up another one and repeated the action.
I did this for about 5 or 6 UFO's.
It was strange not to stay working on one project but it was nice to know that even though it was not alot.... that something was being done on these UFO's.
My hope for today is to either work on Jesus wept or repeat last nights activity.
